Exterior work is wrapping up on The Warehouse, a mixed-use office conversion of an industrial building with a rooftop addition at 520 West 20th Street in West Chelsea. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Elijah Equities, the property is located between West 19th Street and West 20th Street, steps away from the High Line.
Photos show the state of progress on the structure, where the final exterior components are going in. Installation has begun on the glass railings of the roof parapet, while more of the dark façade around the two rows of windows is also in place.

The Warehouse incorporates a refurbished and restored 50-foot-tall brick façade, while a new suspended and cantilevering steel structure rises above the industrial superstructure. This brings the total height to 105 feet tall. The development will contain nearly 80,000 square feet of designated commercial space. The fifth floor rooftop space atop the brick podium will come with a landscaped, 18,000-square-foot outdoor terrace for future office workers, and the ground floor is set to feature retail and gallery space.
Chelsea Market, the Hudson River waterfront and esplanade, and a number of small shops and restaurants are scattered throughout the neighborhood by West 14th Street and around the area flanking the High Line. Tenants will have views of the elevated park, and the glass-covered upper section should allow for ample natural lighting. The closest subways are the local C and E trains at the 23rd Street station on Eighth Avenue. The express A train is about the same distance from The Warehouse to the south at the 14th Street station.
The Warehouse should likely be finished by the end of the year.
