The Bachelor is coming up on fantasy suite week and Peter is going to have a heck of a time navigating through that mess.

As we saw in the preview, fantasy suites are going to be less of a dream and more of a nightmare for our bachelor next week. Between the cloud of drama that follows Victoria and Madison’s “secret” virginity, there will be some mental gymnastics for Peter to work out.

On Monday’s episode, Peter sent Kelsey home. As I explained in this week’s recap, I believe this was the right move. Kelsey was falling in love with him and keeping her around would have only made things worse.

On top of that, FanSided also spent the week podcasting with special guest Clay Harbor, talking fan theories with a couple of experts, discussing the cult of Chad and breaking down how Pete could be so awful at basketball. If your questions aren’t answered here, they’re likely featured in one of those links.

How can Pete be smart enough to fly planes but can’t see the red flags around Victoria? – Cathy

Flying planes is easy these days. Sit down, press the autopilot button, mumble something pointless over the P.A. system and relax. On that note, while I understand the need for flight attendants broadcasting the safety stuff (how else would I know how to buckle my seat belt), can you pilots lay off the announcements?

We know where we are headed, and we can check the local weather on these fancy new devices called smartphones. We’re all trying to enjoy a movie and you interrupting that to tell us in your painfully slow voice that it’s 65 degrees in Chicago is not necessary.

Strayed from the flight path a little bit. My bad. Peter can’t see red flags with Victoria because he’s distracted by her… physical assets.

Is Peter a bad bachelor? – Nat

This depends entirely on how you view this season. In a way, Peter is the perfect bachelor. Bachelor nation feeds off of the drama of each season, and when there aren’t any dramatic moments, the seasons become forgetful. This season is definitely not forgetful.

Through the first six episodes, everyone in the Bachelor mansion seemed to hate each other. There were multiple fights between multiple parties, and despite ditching most of the drama in favor of hanging out at his house, Peter dealt with it all relatively quickly. What hurt Pete this season was a lack of screen time, but again, that ended up being good for us (draaaama).

Most recently, Peter gifted us all another week of great memes when he sent Kelsey packing (relatively boring, by Bachelor standards — which is a good thing) in favor of the ever-so-fiery Victoria F. We should be thanking Pete!

If you’re a fan of finding true love, well then yeah, this is bad.

What is gaslighting? – Ayla

I’m glad you asked! Until Luke P. showed up on The Bachelorette, I had no idea what this term meant either. Luke walked so Victoria could run. Here’s the official definition:

And the clip to go along with it:

Certainly not the best look, but until we hear Victoria answer the bell after this season ends, we won’t know what was going through her mind in these moments. When she and Peter talk on After the Final Rose, moments after their televised post-season break-up, and with Julie LaPlaca by Peter’s side, we’ll know.

It sounds like you may be defending Victoria. Why? – Everyone reading this

First, no one in the history of this show four seasons I have watched has ever been sabotaged by production harder than Victoria was on her first date. Luke’s behavior last season was far more aggressive, and even he was given a fair shot at finding love. Victoria’s first date with Peter was going well until production had her ex play their intimate concert. Chase Rice is twice as big as any country artist they’ve had on the show recently, so you know they jumped through hoops to set this up.

There are a lot of negatives to discuss when it comes to how Victoria has treated Peter (and perhaps how she was with some of her old friends in Virginia Beach). She’s displaying her insecurity (and immaturity), but hopefully she can learn about herself through this process and become a better person. Anyone watching this would undoubtedly strive for self-improvement, right?

Rarely do my two Twitter worlds cross, but Victoria has been so polarizing that the dislike is creeping into other worlds. Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty was the most recent to get involved in the drama.

Call it counter-culture, but I’m wishing the best for Victoria throughout all of this. I know she’s been accused of doing some questionable things, but maybe she can still make amends for that (or at least, tell her side of the story).

Was that really Victoria’s family at the end? – Alex

I sure hope it was! They seemed like the nicest people on Earth, didn’t they? What a contrast! I really wanted Peter to get some nana kisses but I guess those will just have to wait until after he proposes to Victoria.

Need more Bachelor talk? Be sure to check out this special episode of Can I Steal You For A Second? featuring Accept This Rose site experts Madeleine Hudak and Ariba Bhuvad. Enjoy!

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
