A cargo fire caused heavy traffic to back up on Interstate 75 North in Ooltewah on Friday afternoon, according to TDOT traffic cameras.
The roadway of I-75 North was shut down starting at mile marker 15. The scene was expected to be cleared by 5 p.m.
Southbound traffic was mostly unaffected.
The incident was originally reported at 3:01 p.m.
