Builders Warehouse-UST celebrated a coming out party of sorts for Deo Cuajao, Thursday inside Ynares Arena in Pasig as they made quick work of TIP, 115-62, to begin the 2020 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup with a big bang.
Cuajao came out firing in all cylinders and collected seven triples for a total of 24 points.
He was flanked by fellow reserve Jun Asuncion who scored 20 points as the UAAP runners-up rode a 30-point opening salvo all the way to a 53-point difference in their first win.
Rhenz Abado and Mark Nonoy only played 15 minutes, but still did damage with the former finishing with 15 points and six rebounds and the latter ending with 11 markers, six assists, and five boards.
Soulemane Chabi Yo also added 11 points, eight rebounds, and four assists for Builders Warehouse-UST who dominated even without captain CJ Cansino.
For the Engineers, Papa N’Diaye and Bryan Santos topped the scoring column with 13 points apiece.
