Turkish Cargo has expanded its flight network with the addition of a new destin
ation: Quito, Ecuador’s capital. Starting on March 7, Turkish Cargo will operate flights to Quito twice a week, using Boeing 777F freighters. The air route will be: Istanbul – New York – Quito – Curaçao – Maastricht.
Quito is known for being an exporter of flowers, textiles, and foods including sugar, cacao, bananas, palm oil and coffee. It is “not only an important cultural and financial center but also possesses a significant export and import potential,” Turkish Cargo commented in a statement.
As explained on aircargonews.net, Turkish Cargo currently offers freight capacity to more than 300 destinations worldwide and it serves 89 direct cargo destinations.
