Our client is going through an exciting period of change and is looking for a Head of Procurement Excellence and Transformation to engage with the business and drive this change forward.
This is an exciting role which will reach across the whole of the organisation on a Global level.
We are looking for someone with great communication and presentation skills, and who has excellent knowledge of the Procurement process from start to finish.
You will be tasked with driving Procurement and supply chain transformation, playing a critical role in the delivery of significant improvements in efficiency and smooth transition onto the new set of procurement tools and processes.
This role will require engagement with a diverse range of internal stakeholders, including Procurement and the broader stakeholder community in the business.
Additionally, the Head of Procurement Excellence and Transformation will be tasked with supporting functional excellence leadership in developing, documenting and communicating the overall strategy and progress against key objectives for the Procurement function aligned to the input of the Global Procurement Leadership Team.
Head of Procurement Excellence and Transformation Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the successful delivery of the Procurement strategic agenda
- Report progress on assigned projects and change activities
- Manages the relationship with the key Procurement and business stakeholders impacted by the implementation of assigned projects
- Mobilises and manages resources effectively to deliver assigned strategic change projects
- Collaborates with the business to remove roadblocks and enables the practical delivery of the change programs, maximising value
- Ensures the appropriate management of change and mitigation of risk is applied to change activity
- Ensures effective communication of the Procurement strategy including development of presentations to executive stakeholders
- Contributes to and coordinates Procurement communication plan
- Works with the Global Head of Procurement and his Leadership Team to establish the strategy and agenda for the function ensuring best practices are applied
- Drives the definition of Procurement systems and data strategies
- Ensures Global Procurement processes are fit for purpose, efficient and documented
- Develops and manages analytics to support all facets of supply chain
- Conducts regular feedback review sessions with Global Procurement teams to identify opportunities for enhancement
- Ensures Global Procurement colleagues are provided with fit-for-purpose tools and templates to support delivery
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related area of study and extensive experience in the financial industry
- Command and practice of the entire supplier life-cycle, from initial supplier identification, through contracting to delivery of services through to exit of the contract including invoice payment.
- Experience in Supply Chain Risk Management operating under the Three Lines of Defence model
- Excellent stakeholder relationship building skills at all levels, both in department and cross-functionally
- Skilled application with developing strategy and converting strategic direction and agenda into tangible project plans, and mobilising resources to deliver those plans
- Experience of managing large transformational change programmes
- Flexible, action-oriented team player with the ability to attend to the detail but also have the aptitude to understand and address the bigger picture
- Great influencing and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Publisher
- Ability to develop and effectively present information to leadership in either written or verbal form
