You will be joining as a Technology Procurement Buyer, focusing on the strategic sourcing and procurement of Software, Hardware and Services for technology projects that are leading the way in innovation and development of Military and Defence ventures. You will deliver cost effective and innovative solutions to some of the most complex and challenging projects on the market.
Develop relationships with new suppliers, using your knowledge of defence and military based projects to assist with the growth of this world-class Multinational firm. Manage these newly developed relationships alongside managing the relationships of Senior Stakeholders to ensure the strategies you devise and execute are implemented.
Whilst also focusing on the procurement of Technology based goods and services you will also be part of the bid management team for bringing on new projects to this ever expanding Technological Giant. Working alongside this team you will offer a best in class service and deep understanding of the defence market to secure these external bids.
Experienced Required:
- A background and understanding in the Defence/Aerospace or Security market, understanding the challenges that these industries offer as well as offering solutions to these challenges.
- 3+ Years as a Procurement or Supply Chain professional in one of these markets, showing ability and gravitas to negotiate with Key Stakeholders and Suppliers.
- Confidence to develop and implement Sourcing strategies for your procurement category, these will deliver tangible results and drive technological innovation for your projects.
- CIPS qualified or working towards them.
- Degree level education.
