International transport and information logistics provider, cargo-partner, has become one of the first tenants of the recently completed BUD Cargo City at Budapest Airport.
The company moved into its newly built office and warehouse at the Hungarian gateway on March 30.
The new storage location offers pallet slots for temporary rack storage in a 1,200sqm warehouse, which represents a significant expansion of the available storage and processing space at Budapest Airport.
An extended mezzanine enables high value processing on an additional 250sqm while a further 400sqm of office space ensure reliable handling by cargo-partner’s staff and provide space for over 40 employees.
Located at the airport, about 30 minutes from downtown Budapest, BUD Cargo City offer rapid connections to Hungary’s highway network.
The warehouse provides a dedicated cross-docking area and five truck docks with high roller shutters for oversized cargo, which it claims offers the best conditions for daily pick-up and delivery trips in the region. The option of temperature-controlled storage creates further added value for customers. 
In a later step, the logistics provider plans to set up a certified air cargo screening area to further speed up handling.
Attila Becze, cargo-partner’s sub-region director for Hungary and Romania, enthused: “In recent years, BUD has been able to draw attention to itself with its ambitious development programme as an air cargo hub.
“Against this background, we would like to position ourselves with our diverse range of services on the constantly growing local air freight market.”
