Cardano’s business incubator, EMURGO, announced the launch of the “EMURGO Traceability Solution”. According to the release, the solution uses Cardano’s technology to modernize the tracking standards in the supply chain. By increasing the efficiency of the supply chain, operating steps can be reduced and time and money can be saved.
Adding value to the global supply chain with Cardano
EMURGO cooperates with the company Blue Korintji Coffee, a coffee brand based in Indonesia. The company will be the first to use the traceability solution in its coffee supply chain. The cooperation is expected to have a positive impact that will benefit coffee producers, their consumers and all parties involved in the chain. EMURGO says:

The EMURGO partner will give a portion of the sales to all producers using the traceability solution. In addition, Blue Korintji will allow consumers of its brand to scan a bar code to access all information about the origin of the product. The coffee supply chain is affected by poor practices and mistrust by consumers. EMURGO’s solution has been proposed as an alternative to reverse this situation.
In Indonesia, according to the statement, the coffee industry does not always benefit small producers or consumers. Coffee producers in that country can be affected, manipulated or simply not aware of all the steps involved in the supply chain and therefore do not know where or how much their product is worth. As reported by Crypto News Flash, EMURGO and Cardano estanlished another partnership with the government of Uzbekistan. EMURGO announced the creation of a “strategic blockchain working group” for the development of various projects using blockchain technology. In addition, Cardano has another important partnership with the consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to develop a strategy to promote the adoption of the cryptocurrency. PwC’s legal team leader, Guenther Dobrauz, said Cardano will be the new standard for decentralization in the future.
