A GUNMAN believed to have been fired from an Amazon warehouse has burst into an office and shot dead an employee.
The disgruntled former employee from Phoenix, Arizona, had reportedly driven to a company which handles the hiring for the internet retail giant.
Arriving at the Integrity Staffing Solutions, in Glendale, he burst in and was “involved in a disagreement” before he shot dead an employee.
The suspect then left in a vehicle after the shooting, Glendale police said.
He was chased by police and shot, although was not badly injured.
Cops did not identify the victim nor the suspect or explain the link between the two.
Meanwhile, a nearby major Amazon fulfilment centre was placed on lock down.
An Amazon statement read: “The incident that occurred today at the office of our staffing partner is a terrible tragedy.
“Our thoughts are with the victim and everyone who has been impacted by this incident.”
