“Nominations for the Distinguished Woman in Logistics award represent women who provide leadership, create change, and inspire others in the transportation industry,” said Ellen Voie, president/CEO, Women In Trucking Association.

PLOVER, Wis. (PRWEB)
December 10, 2019

The Women In Trucking Association (WIT), Truckstop.com, and Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) are seeking nominations for the 2020 Distinguished Woman in Logistics Award (DWLA). The award recognizes the achievements and leadership of outstanding individuals involved in logistics in North America.

“As women continue to make amazing strides in the supply chain and the 3PL industry, they are leading and influencing how this industry is adapting to change and continuing to run successful businesses,” said Nancy O’Liddy, Chief of Staff with the Transportation Intermediaries Association. “TIA looks forward to receiving outstanding applications from those women who take their careers seriously and want to continue to lead this industry into the future.”

Anyone may nominate a candidate by completing and submitting the nomination form at http://www.womenintrucking.org/DWLA. Nominations are due February 3, 2020.

“Nominations for the Distinguished Woman in Logistics award represent women who provide leadership, create change, and inspire others in the transportation industry,” said Ellen Voie, president/CEO, Women In Trucking Association. “We are honored to be able to recognize such influential women through this award.”

Sponsored by Truckstop.com and TIA, the award is open to high-performing women in any field related to logistics, including supply chain management, third-party logistics, and trucking. Judy R. McReynolds, chairman, president and chief executive officer of ArcBest was the 2019 DWLA winner.

The award selection committee includes representatives from WIT, Truckstop.com, Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) and academia.

“We are proud, once again, to be supporting the Women In Trucking Association as they recognize the incredible women that work every day to further the industry’s success,” said Brent Hutto, Chief Relationship Officer, Truckstop.com. “Women selected for the Distinguished Woman in Logistics Award (DWLA) are truly role models for other women who are considering or want to advance their career in logistics. They exemplify leadership and dedication to their communities and the industry as a whole.”

The winner of the 2020 DWLA will be announced during TIA “Capital Ideas” Conference and Exhibition, on Friday, April 3 from 9-11 a.m. in Austin, TX.

For additional information regarding the nomination process, send an email to [email protected] or call (920) 737-9490.
