ERP market-leader SAP has announced its Asia Pacific and Japan partner awards for the year, with Accenture, Deloitte, ABeam and EY all featuring among the region’s top-performing firms.
Global enterprise resource planning giant SAP has honoured a number of its leading regional channel partners during the company’s annual Field Kick-Off Meetings for the Asia Pacific and Japan, including Deloitte, Ernst & Young, ABeam Consulting and Accenture – the latter which was recognised with dual awards for SAP S/4HANA Innovation and ISV Solutions. Other awardees included Fujitsu, Hitachi Systems, IBM, Born Group and itelligence.

Backing up on its two APJ Partner Excellence awards in 2019, for SAP Leonardo and S/4HANA Digital Transformation, global professional service firm Accenture has this year taken the awards for ISV Solution Partner and SAP S/4HANA Innovation Partner. Deloitte meanwhile has made it a ‘three-peat’ in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud category, albeit while ceding its SAP Ariba Solutions title to IBM, with fellow Big Four firm EY claiming the Intelligent Platforms prize.
Among a seemingly endless string of acquisitions across a wide range of capabilities, Accenture has already this year enhanced its global SAP capabilities with the purchase of German SAP Gold Partner maihiro, a leading provider of SAP-based customer experience (CX) and customer relationship management (CRM) consulting services. In addition, the firm recently adopted SAP Cloud Platform to construct its latest edition of consumer products platform Newspage 9.
Elsewhere, ABeam Consulting has taken the honours in the straight-up SAP S/4HANA category, while fellow Japanese-origin advisory and tech firms Fujitsu – which this month launched a dedicated consulting unit; Ridgelinez – and Hitachi Systems – which as part of its data services division Hitachi Vantara was last month was merged with the retiring Hitachi Consulting brand – both earning one title apiece; respectively for Partner Managed Cloud and Marketing Success.
In other major categories, the SAP Customer Experience award went to BORN Group, which has offices in Singapore and Tokyo and as of late last year came under the direction of Indian ICT giant Tech Mahindra in a deal worth close to $100 million, while NTT Data Group subsidiary itelligence – which itself last year picked up Thai SAP specialist ISS Consulting – was named as this year’s top performing firm for APAC in the Platform and Technology category.
Citing a number of macro trends that “signal a gravity shift to Asia”, Russell concluded; “We strive to continue to play a strategic role in being Asia’s digital fabric to support its vision to become a leading region of the world. Asia’s story is about growth, partnering closely with our customers, partners and employees to better serve the societies we do business in.
