Cheniere’s 1,000th LNG export cargo departed on the vessel Höegh Galleon on January 26, 2020
Cheniere Energy, Inc. (NYSE American: LNG) reports that it has produced and exported its 1,000th cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The 1,000th cargo was exported within a four-year time period after startup, setting an industry record and making Cheniere the fastest producer in the world to reach this milestone. Cheniere has produced these 1,000 cargoes from both the Sabine Pass Liquefaction Project (SPL) and the Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project (CCL) .

Cheniere’s 1,000th LNG export cargo departed on the vessel Höegh Galleon on January 26, 2020 from Cheniere’s CCL project. Earlier, Cheniere celebrated the 100th cargo produced at the CCL project, which departed on the vessel Yari LNG on January 13, 2020.
HIGH SPEC FSRU
Höegh Galleon is a high-specification FSRU constructed by shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries and has a storage capacity of 170,000 cu.m of LNG and a regasification capacity of 750 million standard cubic feet per day. It is currently on an 18-month interim time charter (TCP) with Cheniere , after which the vessel is planned to move to Australia for AIE’s FSRU project in Port Kembla.
Höegh LNG has been selected as the FSRU provider for by AIE, and Höegh Galleon is planned to serve the project from the end of 2020.
