FILE – A Pulaski County sheriff’s office vehicle is shown in this file photo.
The Pulaski County sheriff’s office is asking for help identifying a woman found dead early Wednesday morning.
The woman was white and is believed to have been in her 30s. She had red curly hair, according to a tweet from the sheriff’s office, and was wearing a Baby Phat jacket when she was found. She also had “numerous” tattoos, according to the tweet.
Waste management employees discovered the body around 5 a.m. in the 9800 block of Arch Street, Lt. Cody Burk said in a video posted to the agency’s Facebook page.
The body was found in an open grassy area used for maintenance projects by the waste management company, Burk said, and investigators were looking into how the body got there.
Authorities said it didn’t appear the body had been in the area for a long time. It was being sent to the state Crime Lab for positive identification and to determine the cause of her death.
