WCA Pharma Academy has launched a Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Compliance training programme for freight forwarders in the pharmaceutical logistics industry.
The first course took place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with 18 participants achieving full GDP Compliance accreditation from the WCA Pharma Academy, the training branch of WCA Pharma, a specialty network of WCA.
WCA Pharma members are required to be GDP compliant to maintain their group membership, which is a quality assurance that pharmaceutical products are stored, transported, and handled under suitable conditions.
“GDP courses are part of WCA’s Academy program, which was launched to help promote continued learning for those who want to sharpen their professional skills and logistics operations,” said Leah McKenna, manager, WCA Academy.
The course involves all participants being tested on GDP Compliance prior to the training and sitting an exam at the end of the program, with GDP knowledge improving by up to 30% following the course.
