VAN
WERT — Central Insurance Companies employee, Annette M. Hirschy, has
been awarded the professional insurance designation Chartered Property
Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from the American Institute of Charted
Property Casualty Underwriters. This is a professional credential
recognized throughout the risk management and insurance business.
She has completed a rigorous eight-course program of academic, ethical, and experience requirements.
Hirschy
is the daughter of Albert and Dolores Hofmann. She and her husband,
Kevin, reside in Van Wert County and have three grown sons, Chad
(Whittany) Hirschy, Craig (Melissa Roop) Hirschy, and Cory (Taylor)
Hirschy, and three granddaughters, Lea, Kaelynn, and Claire. She is a
member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in rural Ohio City and a member of
the Buckeye Insurance Professionals chapter of International Association
of Insurance Professionals where she has served on various committees.
Hirschy
is a 1983 graduate of Van Wert High School. As a Cooperative Office
Education Student through Vantage Vocational School, she began working
at Central in June 1982 in the Home Office Agency Services Personal
Lines processing unit. She spent time in the Home Office Claims Services
and Central Regional Office Claims Services departments before joining
Central Regional Office’s Claims department where she has been a Claim
Representative in the Auto Material Damage Unit since October 1997.
Hirschy
also holds the following designations: Associate in General Insurance
(AINS), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), and Associate in Claims
(AIC).
The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty
Underwriters is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 1942 to
establish a program of professional education and certification for
those employed in the property and casualty insurance business.
