Details&Registration
As of Jan 1st 2021, all EU-flagged ships or third country flagged vessels, when visiting EU-ports, are required to have a verified Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) onboard.
Inventory of Hazardous Materials was introduced in 2009 Hong Kong Convention for the Safe & Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships and amped by EU Ship Recycling Regulation (SRR) 1257/2013, as a structured system to control hazardous materials onboard ships and achieve compliance with the Hong Kong Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships.
Seminar aims to facilitate proper understanding, regarding IHM Preparation, Development and Maintenance, utilizing all available information and it focuses on:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- Data Collection & Assessment
- Preparation of Visual & Sampling Check Plan
- On-board Survey
- Development of reports and ship specific IHMs
This seminar will give you knowledge and understanding in following areas:
IHM Understanding: What is an IHM?
IHM Development: How an IHM is developed?
IHM Maintenance: How I keep an IHM up-to-date?
It is ideal for Shipping Companies Personnel (DPA, Superintendents, Fleet Managers, Purchasing). It has been specifically developed in order to provide specific guidance for the Development of the Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM), in line with 2009 IMO Hong Kong Convention (SR/CONF/45), EU Ship
Recycling Regulation (EU SRR) 1257/2013 and related Guidelines.
