An out-of-town investor paid $10.1 million for a 296,000-square-foot warehouse at 207 Jacintoport Road in Saraland, according to Steven McMahon of Inge & Associates and Allen Garstecki of JLL. The building is occupied by Honeywell, an aircraft engine and parts manufacturer.
A local investor paid $1.37 million for an 8,400-square-foot office/warehouse on Sgt. E.I. Boots Thomas Drive in I-10 Commerce Park in Spanish Fort, according to Richard Inge of Inge & Associates, who represented the seller. Andrew Dickman of Stirling Properties worked for the buyer.
America’s Thrift Stores has leased 16,700 square feet of retail space at 1200 N. McKenzie St., in Foley, and plans to open early next spring, according to Amanda Goldman of Stirling Properties, who represented the landlord. The space was formerly occupied by Fred’s, a discount store. Greg Haag of Haag Brown Commercial represented the tenant.
Developers plan to build a motor vehicle showroom on the east side of Easy Street and north of the West Marine retail store off Canal Road in Orange Beach, according to city planning commission.
Watch for mobile food units or food trucks to pop up in the city of Gulf Shores. The city is starting a year long pilot program to see how allowing food trucks impacts the city. A maximum of 15 permits will be issued for food truck operators and the owners can locate within all non residential areas butt cannot operate within 100 feet of an existing restaurant.
