A large fire continues to burn at a vacant warehouse at the corner of Girard Avenue and Verity Parkway. Firefighters arrived just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the building and quickly blocked off several surrounding streets, including Park, Girard and a large stretch of Verity Parkway.There have been no reports of any injuries.There have been several wall collapses and various parts of the roof have collapsed as well. Middletown Fire Chief Paul Lolli says there have been several fires in various parts of the warehouse before, but this is the largest to date. His team is working now to keep it contained and avoid any injury to firefighters.
