Mercedes-Benz AG has included Strack Norma as a supplier in the standards for the first time. The overhead standard slide valve Powermax (PMO) has been technically approved.
The standardised and patented standard slide valve series Powermax is used worldwide in large tool making, especially in the automotive industry. Standard variants are the PMO hanging at the top and the PMU below. They are supplemented by the up to 30 % shorter, top-hanging compact version Powermax 2.0 / PMOK as well as the Powermax light / PMOL, which offers an alternative for product series that run in small quantities or small series, the company explains. Strack Norma has developed the PMON hold-down slider — with the driver in the upper part of the tool — and integrated a pull slider into the range especially at the customer’s request. Depending on requirements, the company manufactures special versions of slides at any desired angle and adapted to the respective tool.
Mercedes-Benz has given Strack Norma the technical approval for the PMO medium. “Our goal has always been to position ourselves as a reliable partner and supplier and to offer our customers only the best quality and genuine solutions,” says Key Account Manager Daniel Brockhaus. “The fact that Mercedes-Benz has now included us in its supply chain as another major automobile manufacturer makes us proud and confirms our performance.”
Supply contract at VW continued and extended
Strack Norma has already been working with VW for 10 years and serves production locations worldwide — not only VW plants but also all Group brands, including Audi, Skoda and Porsche. The standard slide valve Powermax is also used here as well as the SNS guide elements from Strack Norma with sole approval since this year.
