MORE THAN 6.7 MILLION ATTENDEES IMPACTED

Hundreds of conferences, concerts and other events worldwide have been cancelled, postponed or transformed into “digital-only” affairs as coronavirus continues its global spread. To date, more than 6.7 million attendees have been forced to change their plans.

Coachella: Music festival. Indio, Calif. Originally scheduled for April 10-12 and April 17-19; reported to be postponed by Forbes, Variety, TMZ. Reported 250,000 attendees expected.

Ivy League Basketball Tournament: Men’s and women’s college basketball tournament. Cambridge, Massachusetts. Originally scheduled for March 14-15. Over 7,700 attendees last year.

Boston Saint Patrick’s Day Parade: Cultural festival. Boston. Originally scheduled for March 17. One million reported spectators in 2019.

Dublin Saint Patrick’s Day Parade: Cultural festival. Dublin, Ireland. Originally scheduled for March 17; reportedly cancelled. Up to 500,000 attend.

Tucson Festival of Books: Literary festival. Tucson, Arizona. Originally scheduled for March 14-15. Over 135,000 attendees expected.

Winter Music Conference: Music festival. Miami, Florida. originally scheduled for March 16-19. Reportedly around 100,000 attendees.

Bahrain Grand Prix: Motor race. Bahrain. Originally scheduled for March 22; will continue without fans present. Reportedly attracted 97,000 fans in 2019 weekend.

Paris Saint-Germain-Borussia Dortmund Champions League Match: Soccer match. Paris. Originally scheduled for March 11; will be held without fans present. PSG’s most recent home Champions League game drew over 46,500.

American Chemical Society Spring Meeting: Chemistry conference. Philadelphia. Originally scheduled for March 26-28. Reportedly 15,000 attendees expected.

Madonna Madame X Tour: Pop star’s concert dates in France. Paris. Originally scheduled for March 10 and March 11. Venue has 2,800 seats.

BNP Paribas Open: Tennis tournament. Indian Wells, Calif. Originally scheduled for March 9, 2020. Has previously drawn 450,000 attendees.

American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Annual Meeting: Medical conference. Philadelphia. Originally scheduled for March 13-16. Around 6,500 reportedly expected.

Milken Institute Global Conference: Investment conference. Los Angeles. Originally scheduled for May 2-6; rescheduled for July 7-10. Last year’s hosted 4,000.
