Leadership Seacoast announces Class of 2020
DURHAM — Leadership Seacoast, a local nonprofit organization committed to the development of informed and active community leaders, welcomed the Class of 2020 with a retreat at the Browne Center for Innovative Learning in Durham. The day-long orientation was sponsored by Kennebunk Savings Bank.
Browne Center facilitators conducted exercises and team-building activities to bridge the gap between member personal, professional and civic identities. The discussions and drills will establish strong foundations for healthy dialogue throughout the January to June curriculum. The Leadership Seacoast Class of 2020 includes:

Dover Chamber of Commerce welcomes Towle to staff
DOVER — The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce announced it has hired Kameron Towle of Dover as its new communications specialist, effective immediately.
Towle, a Dover native, holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in communications from Plymouth State University. For the past two years he worked as a sports editor at the Eagle Times in Claremont where he also managed the organization’s social media sites.
Towle will be responsible for print and electronic communications, as well as managing the Chamber’s website and social media platforms.
The Dover chamber is a not-for-profit association of businesses, professionals, individuals, and organizations working together to advance the economic well-being of its members and the community. Richelson joins Great Bay as business professor
PORTSMOUTH — Great Bay Community College welcomes Linda Richelson as an associate professor of business.
Richelson brings extensive experience in higher education and business, including more than a decade as finance manager at Hewlett-Packard in Massachusetts, to the business department.
Richelson comes to Great Bay with a wealth of experience in higher education, most recently as the department chair for Business and Accounting at Great Bay’s sister school, River Valley Community College. She was the director of the Keene Academic Center and the director of the Center for Professional Studies at Fitchburg State and has been an adjunct faculty at Southern New Hampshire University for 30 years.
One of her priorities is encouraging high school students to find a career close to home. There are opportunities for young people in New Hampshire, she said, and Great Bay can help them achieve their goals through a cost-effective, short-term education.
Richelson is bullish on New Hampshire’s small businesses and is eager to put her experience to work for existing small businesses and to help young people and others realize their dreams by doing something they love.
“New Hampshire is the home of entrepreneurialism. Small business lives here,” she said.

Kristen Mandell promoted at Edward Jones
GREENLAND — Kristen Mandell was promoted to senior branch office administrator at the Greenland branch office of financial services firm Edward Jones.
Mandell has been with Edward Jones the past five years.
A branch office administrator is responsible for the daily operation of an Edward Jones office. This includes providing top-notch client service, supporting marketing activities for the office and staying updated on technological advances.
To be named a senior branch office administrator, an individual must meet specific training requirements, demonstrate exceptional performance when completing office responsibilities, handle the complex tasks associated with running a high-volume office, and typically must have at least five years’ experience with the firm.

Provident Bank appoints Piette to board of directors
PORTSMOUTH — The Provident Bank announced the appointment of Barbara Piette to its board of directors.
Piette is a managing principal of Knightsbridge Advisers, co-heading this SEC-regulated venture capital fund of funds. At Knightsbridge, Piette is actively involved in all aspects of portfolio management, including all investment due diligence and decision-making processes.
In addition to Knightsbridge, Piette works as an advisor to five emerging venture capital firms: Tera Ventures, focused on born-global digital startups; Hyperplane VC, focused on AI; the Material Impact Fund, focused on materials; _Underscore, focused on the cloud; and Will Ventures, focused on sports technology. She also advises several early stage technology companies spanning industry sectors such as robotics, blockchain enterprise software and cybersecurity. Before joining Knightsbridge, she spent more than 20 years as a venture capitalist, holding partner positions with both Charles River Ventures and Schroder Ventures, co-founding Schroder Ventures Life Sciences.
Piette received an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School and holds a bachelor of science summa cum laude from Boston College where she graduated first in her class. She serves as a board member of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, aimed at making sports safer, and as an overseer of Boston Children’s Hospital. She is a member of the Massachusetts Women’s Forum and previously served on the boards of the Koch Center for Cancer Research at MIT, Alliance for Advancement and Diversity in the Sciences, and the Harvard Business School Association of Boston. RAYMOND — Jewett Construction announced the promotion of Dave Littlefield to senior estimator.
Prior to his promotion, Littlefield, who started at Jewett Construction in February 2018, held the title of estimator.
As senior estimator, Littlefield is responsible for all of the research, proper planning, thorough design and budgeting that pave the way to project success. He helps to lead the estimation team to find creative solutions in the design process and budget the project accurately and effectively.
