As king cake season and crawfish season kick off in south Louisiana, another popular food becomes more widely available: Girl Scout cookies.
Nearly 77,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies were delivered to a Girl Scouts warehouse on Choctaw Drive in Baton Rouge Saturday, including pre-ordered cookies and cookies that will be available at booth sales from Feb. 28 until March 15, according to Girls Scouts Louisiana East Marketing and Communications Specialist Ande Kral.
Around 6,300 girls will be selling cookies in the region this season, Kral wrote.
