Imperva has announced more changes to its senior executive team. The announcement comes just a few days after Pam Murphy took over as CEO. It is likely that Murphy had a significant role in reshaping the executive team as she served out her notice at Infor. What is interesting is that there is no place on Murphy’s top team for anyone from Distil Networks, Imperva’s last acquisition.
The latest changes include Nanhi Singh as Chief Customer Office and Paul J Loftus as Chief Revenue Officer. Both come from within the industry and have solid track records. They join Steven Schoenfeld, SVP Product Management and James Lok, SVP Global Product Development who joined in November.

Who is in at Imperva?
Singh has spent more than a decade in VP and SVP roles around customer advocacy and retention. She is joining from Symantec and her first challenge will be dealing with the fallout from 2019’s data breach.

Loftus joins from [24]7.ai where he was Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to that he was at Wolters Kluwer where he set the strategy for its North American associates. Where will Loftus see the growth in revenue coming from? Will the company double down on its existing partner program? There are a lot of questions about that future growth path that will take time to resolve.

In November, Schoenfeld and Lok were brought in to oversee product development and product management. Schoenfeld, like Singh, came from Symantec and before that Blue Coat. He has been involved with product management in the security industry since 1996.
Lok has spent over 30 years in product development and engineering roles. His previous employers include Borland, Ariba, Yahoo, Intuit and Citrix. He will be responsible for product direction and development.
Enterprise Times: What does this mean
It’s not uncommon for a new CEO to overhaul their senior management team. In Murphy’s case, it seems that Infor and Imperva allowed that to happen while she completed her tenure at Infor. The four new appointees join a board that has been heavily overhauled in the last year. Only three of the senior management team have been at the company for over a year.
The question is whether Murphy is now happy with the shape of the board or does she still feel there is a need for change. It will also be interesting to see how many other changes she makes perhaps in the form of an acquihire. Murphy has yet to set out any acquisition targets but it would be a surprise if Imperva wasn’t already monitoring a few targets.
