China’s Ningbo-Zhoushan port recorded 1.12bn tonnes of cargo throughput last year, ranking it as the world’s busiest port for eleven consecutive years.
In 2019, Ningbo-Zhoushan port strengthened the multi-modal transportation service and improved the handling capacity for the large-size vessels, which greatly supported the increasing cargo handling demands, the port said.
For its next development step, Ningbo-Zhoushan port will keep improving the shipping and port infrastructure and its service ability, accelerating the opening up for the construction of world top-class port, it said.
Ningbo-Zhoushan port posted a container volume of 27.53m teu for 2019.
