RICHMOND, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Owens & Minor, Inc. (NYSE: OMI) is pleased to announce the hiring of David Myers as SVP & Chief Procurement Officer. Myers is the most recent example of Owens & Minor’s commitment to strengthening its team with experienced industry leaders who deliver value and drive results.
In his role, Myers will be responsible for leading global procurement, supplier relations, supplier effectiveness, category management, and the company’s Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) team.
Myers brings nearly 30 years of experience in the healthcare and supply chain management industry including leadership roles in sales, marketing and customer relationship management. Prior to joining Owens & Minor, Myers spent 20 years at Seneca Medical, which later became Concordance Healthcare Solutions, in Tiffin, Ohio, where he served as President & COO. Myers is a current board member and past board chair with the Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA). He frequently speaks on the healthcare and supply chain management sector at several universities, including the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University.
