MONTGOMERY, NY — Another lawsuit challenging the proposed Amazon warehouse has been filed. The suit claims the developer’s environmental reviews didn’t consider the cumulative effect of all the projects that are before the town boards.
Montgomery property owners, who filed the lawsuit with the Orange County Supreme Court, also said the developers did not review the socio-economic impact of adding more than 1,000 employees to the town’s workforce, which is 4,100, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
Projects before the planning board include 11 warehouses and distribution centers, totaling more than 3 million square feet.
According to the court filing, the site is located near NY State Route 17K and NY State Route 747 in the Town of Montgomery.
